Welcome to Oroville, WA. in Okanogan County. Oroville is located in a remarkably beautiful location. Oroville is 4 miles south of the Canadian Border on Highway 97 right in the center of Washington State. This area is known for its mild climate and four very distinct seasons. We are located on the shores of Lake Osoyoos. We are a continually growing community. According to the 2010 census we had a total of 4501 people living within the 98844 zip code.
There are several new developments springing up all over the area. We have 6 Gas Stations, 5 Restaurants, 2 Doctors clinics, a True Value, Ace Hardware, 3 grocery stores, 1 chiropractor, 1 dentist, 4 real estate agencies, 2 gyms, 5 beauticians/barbers, 8 gift shops, and several other businesses. There are 12 Churches, including the Full Gospel Country Church, Assembly of God, Pentecostal Church of God, Baptist Church, Methodist Church, Free Methodist, Church of God, Seventh Day Adventist, and the Catholic Church.

Just north of the Border, sharing the Lake of Osoyoos with Oroville is the Town of Osoyoos. Only 5 miles away from Oroville, Osoyoos has the lowest amount of annual precipitation in Canada, taking in only 10 inches of rainfall and 2 inches of snowfall. Lake Osoyoos is the warmest freshwater lake in Canada and this town also boasts the warmest annual temperature anywhere in Canada. The average day time high temperature in the summer (July) is a toasty 84F. In the winter, the mercury hovers around the freezing point with the average day time high in January being 32F.

Oroville has a great High School and Elementary School that were remodeled a few years ago. There are 376 Total Students in the High School with 18 Full Time Teachers allowing there to be 1 teacher each for 20 students. There are a lot of fun things to do here. To list a few: Boating, Jet Skiing, and fishing in any of our many lakes . Hiking and hunting in the 2.9 million acres of National Forest in our County. ATVing, Horseback riding, rodeoing at our many rodeos in the area. In the winter we have a different kind of fun on snow mobiles, skis, ice skates, etc...
